Friends of English Dance

At our last Town Hall meeting we were asked to create an easily searchable folk dance directory that you could point people to so that they can find places to dance near them. We are proud to announce the release of our new folk dance directory on our website. Now you can easily find and connect with folk dance groups, callers and musicians across the UK. FED Town Hall report On Friday, 18 November 2022, The Friends of English Dance hosted an online town hall meeting. Our goal was to provide a structured forum for discussion about the future of English social folk dancing, with a focus on how we can shape the Friends’ activities to have the best possible results

We are deeply grateful to our callers, musicians and workshop leaders. They have helped keep our spirits up and held us together throughout this long ordeal during the Covid pandemic. Throughout 2020, they took no fee and covered the costs of Zoom and PRS licences themselves. We believe we should demonstrate our appreciation with more than words.
