Dance with us at Playford Past & Present; a celebration of the older dances of the Playford era and into the 17th/18th century. We recognise the evolving tradition of English Folk Dance and enjoy exploring some of the modern Playford-style dances. Each workshop is led by world-leading callers. Playford Past, Present and Future extends the invitation to younger Playford callers who devise a programme and share the calling – to a group of experienced dancers – with an internationally recognised caller and live music provided by world class musicians.
During the Covid-19 pandemic our dance series transferred to Zoom with recorded music. We are deeply grateful to our callers, musicians and workshop leaders who have been a key to keeping our spirits up and holding us together throughout this long ordeal.
